Come learn how to draft and sew your very own zero waste shorts! Join industry leader Danielle Elsener, Founder of DECODE, as she shares a glimpse into the world of zero waste design, the methodology of drafting a zero waste short pattern, and how to strategically sew it up. At the end of this class you will leave with an introductory understanding of zero waste design, a tool for drafting future shorts and one completed zero waste short.
You can choose between two styles of shorts (one with pockets!) and construct them in either knit or woven fabric. 1-1.5 yards of fabric required. You get to choose and purchase your own fabric and we will provide the pattern.
Previous sewing experience is required, but this is still beginner friendly. Check out our Intro Class beforehand to learn everything you need to get you started. Space is limited - sign up today!
